FUTSAL HAS BECOME A PROMISING SPORT
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs welcome participants of the Grand Champion Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship 2016 (PSFC) on Wednesday at the ministry’s headquarters in Senayan, Central Jakarta.
During his speech, Deputy of Civilising Sports at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, Mr Raden Isnanta stated that the sport of Futsal Indonesia has undergone immense growth thus is considered as a promising sport that can play to Indonesia’s advantage.
“Futsal Indonesia is promising because it requires posture and skill. Indonesia has the potential as demonstrated by the winning performance of the Jaya Kencana Angels team,” stated Mr Raden in front of the Grand Champion participants.
“The popularity of futsal has to increase because the sport offers a promising target for the future. As such, we would like to express our appreciation for Pocari Sweat for playing a supporting role in the growing popularity of this sport. We hope that the popularity will carry through on a regional scale,” Mr Raden commented.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs hopes that the PSFC event will once again take place next year because students are highly eager to win the ministry’s coveted trophy.
